Learning to imitate other people is a huge part of early childhood development. At Fremont Kid's Academy we take advantage of this developmental phase and play lots of games like "Simon Says." These games not only teach body parts, following instructions, language acquisition, and focus, they are also lots of fun.
Learning to make believe is a multi step approach, it starts with observing other children playing with items. Today all of the children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy were playing with a toy and one of our youngest joined in the action. We love to see children on the path to learning and encourage them along the way.
At Fremont Kid's Academy the children in care learn to take responsibility for themselves and others. Washing dishes after a meal is just one of the ways that they take part in daily activities.
Using perceptive skills and attention to detail is the name of the game when seeking treasure. Today the children at Fremont Kid's Academy played a game of hide and seek. They took turns hiding a treasure chest and finding it. They would give each other clues and work together to find the hidden treasure. What fun they had today!
