We encourage a healthy relationship between the children and the staff so that each are cared for appropriately. We often have visits with our past children even after they have graduated our program.

Little ones love to imitate the people around them. During a session of dress up time for preschoolers at Fremont Kid's Academy, we weren't surprised to see the toddlers copying the dress up behavior.
This type of multi-aged socialization benefits both the younger and older groups and feels like an extended family for everyone. -Dana Wilson Fremont Kid's Academy takes pride in creating a family environment for all of the children in our child care program.
During playtime sessions with the older children, we encourage tummy time for the babies. They love to watch the older kids run around. -Dana Wilson Children attending preschools should expect to practice recognizing and creating patterns. This skill is important to foster so that letter recognition comes easier when they enter kindergarten. In kindergarten pattern activities will become an everyday activity.
Parents can help prepare their preschoolers by choosing child care programs like Fremont Kid's Academy where they will get fun practice in all kindergarten activities. -Dana Wilson Learning shapes is fun at Fremont Kid's Academy when the children in our childcare program use puzzles to practice identifying squares, triangles, circles, and rectangles.
In addition to recognizing shapes these puzzles also help to teach colors and provide a platform for learning language as well as fine motor skills. -Dana Wilson On a walking field trip to the local park, the children in our preschool program at Fremont Kid's Academy noticed this beautiful flower. We allowed the children to take a picture to document their observations.
They noticed that there were different colored flowers all on the same cluster. This is one of the many ways we encourage learning in our childcare program. -Dana Wilson Fremont Kid's Academy got a surprise visit from a truck load of tractors and heavy machinery. When the truck stopped in front of our house we took advantage of the opportunity and went outside to get a closer look.
The children in our care had a great time watching the driver load yet another vehicle onto the flat bed. The driver was very nice to the children and gave them a honk as he drove off. What a fun activity before lunch. -Dana Wilson Fremont Kid's Academy provides many different activities for the children in our care.
One of the all time favorites is the block of ice with toys frozen inside. It's so easy to make and the children love to excavate the toys. We make it educational too by freezing toys of different shapes and colors and help them identify what they are releasing from the ice. This is a great activity to do with children of all different ages. They all love to explore at their own pace. -Dana Wilson Fremont Kid's Academy drink choices include milk or water. We choose not to serve juice, soda, lemonade, or any other drink substitute as we feel it is unfair to the children in our care.
We place high importance on nutrition and work hard to serve meals that are nutritionally complete, wholesome, and will provide growing bodies and minds with the best building blocks to create healthy children. -Dana Wilson Children love to create all kinds of things with their imagination. As care providers, it's our job to give them the time and space to create what they have in their minds. It may be very difficult for a child to complete a block structure if other children are involved in the building process.
Recognizing this and allowing that child to have a sanctuary is very important and shows respect for each individual child and can lead to a wonderful sense of accomplishment. -Dana Wilson |
