Children of all ages love to create structures with wooden blocks and the children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy are no exception. Even the adults got involved in our building session today.

Fremont Kid's Academy encourages the children in our care to pick up books everyday and fosters a love of reading by providing all kinds of choices. From adventures with superheroes to educational picture books we have something for everyone.
Imagination games are wonderful ways to encourage the brain development of young children. Having the right props and allowing the children to express themselves is important to us at Fremont Kid's Academy. We let the children dress themselves and lead the games and we play along with them.
Healthy foods are key to raising healthy children. At Fremont Kid's Academy we know that children will eat healthy choices if we provide them. Today the children are asking for seconds of our barley and veggies lunch. Yummy!
The children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy mimic what they see and today each child put a baby doll inside their shirt and pretended to carry it. They are taking very good care of their little playmates.
The children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy are enjoying getting in the spirit of the holidays with social music and games. When a package arrived with a lovely holiday embellishment it didn't take long before the children began decorating themselves with it.
Fremont Kid's Academy is committed to providing a safe, caring, and educational environment for the children in our care. Many times we post pictures of the children in a learning situation but today we just had to capture the cuteness of the children in our care. We cultivate an extended family of care providers and children and everyone benefits from these strong relationships.
Playing with art materials makes up much of the activity time for the children at Fremont Kid's Academy. They are encouraged to express themselves in many different ways and they love working with paint. Playing with a water mat allows them to get messy without the actual mess and they love it.
Everyday at Fremont Kid's Academy the children participate in reading books. Sometimes teachers read to the children, sometimes children read to the teachers and sometimes the children read to each other. Today the younger children decided to read to the older children, if only to point out pictures.
The children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy love to eat soy beans right out of the pod. Extracting the bean is a wonderful way to practice fine motor skills and tastes delicious.
Fremont Kid's Academy is committed to providing the children in our care with healthy meals, even if we have to grow our own. The children are working on preparing our garden beds for the winter planting of cool tolerant veggies like broccoli and spinach. We had some help turning the soil by our chicken daisy.
Art is an integral part of the curriculum at Fremont Kid's Academy and today we used the rain as inspiration for a bubble painting that looks like rain drops. We mixed in a lesson on color theory and surface tension but the children in care just plain enjoyed an educational and beautiful project.
Playing with glue and yarn allows the children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy to interact with their art project in a way that other projects don't allow. The children learn how interconnected different pieces are and how pulling one can effect other pieces that aren't touching. This lesson is valuable in many ways and will be used as bridge for other lessons in geometry, language, social dynamics, math, and management.
Imaginary games are easy to play when there are some props to get a story started. Using a real doorway as an imaginary entryway to a land of make believe is a perfect seed for the beginning of a multi-child, multi-day imagination tree that bears educational, brain developing fruit. Fremont Kid's Academy supports the imaginations of the children in our care by playing with them and offering the bridges between tangible play areas and those that are created in the minds of the children.
While the children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy rarely see snowflakes outside, they are hard at work making them inside. Working with geometry in preschool is fun and easy and with a little help from adults the children also get to practice using scissors and hole punches.
