Figuring out that you must enter a structure on ground level, climb up through a tunnel, and slide down is a huge process that lays a perfect groundwork for learning to solve puzzles. Of course the children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy just think it's a great time on the play structure.
Climbing to the top of a slide seems like an easy task for a toddler, but is actually a complex task in engineering and gross motor skills.

Fremont Kid's Academy believes in the use of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to teach concepts to young learners. From babies to toddlers to preschoolers we include STEM subjects in all of our curriculum.
But we also believe in using art, design, and creativity as tools to engage the minds of our students. Our preschool curriculum is geared not only to prepare the children in our childcare program for kindergarten but for life as well. The STE(A)M movement has taken hold and Fremont Kid's Academy is pioneering the early learning aspect. Contact us for a tour of our program today. Peace of Mind
The most important thing for parents as they drop their children off at a daycare center or childcare program is to be sure that their children are alright. Being able to look in on them during the day is a great way to be reassured that all is well. Fremont Kid's Academy allows parents to login to a secure page on our website to view their children while in our care. It's just one of the ways we use technology for the benefit of our clients. Technology - the collection of techniques, methods or processes used in the accomplishment of objectives. Technology can be the knowledge of techniques.
Children in the childcare program at Fremont Kid's Academy are learning to stack beads on vertical sticks. They are watching each other and learning the correct process for stacking the beads. This is technology at its most basic level. Dying easter eggs doesn't seem like a science project but the children in care at Fremont Kid's Academy learned a lot about chemistry when they mixed vinegar and egg dye.
They also experimented with color combinations and got creative with decorations. Building patterns is the precursor to word recognition and reading. One of the ways children at Fremont Kid's Academy learn to build patterns is through stringing colored beads in a sequence on a string.
The children love to copy what pattern the teacher is showing and love to show off their handiwork. |
