We observe each child closely to determine what will inspire the most engaged learning from that student.
For example, if we are teaching the letter A to our preschoolers, we will carefully plan to incorporate objects that interest each student that begin with A. If a child loves fruit, we will use apples, apricots, and avocados, as examples of objects beginning with A. We would use a completely different list for a different child.
The most important aspect of this type of teaching is the relationship between the child and the care giver. We must know the children in our care well enough to be aware of what motivates them.
